This is a 2013 film directed by the young Canadian Zack Bernbaum. The film tells the story of Adam Kundle an advertising company CEO that after an unconsciousness episode wakes up and his only way to communicate is through commercial phrases.
Is an original story, isn’t common, however lacks of solidity: the argument has empty spaces, some events are in the air, in addition to this an anomalous situation as Adam’s is mixed with a very common story as Karen’s (a mother that still doesn’t know how to control her teenage daughter) and this makes the plot lose strength and significance.
The film stars Bruce Greenwood, Parker Posey and Callum Blue, Greenwood is in charge to make the plot interesting, in his role impersonates someone in a state of consciousness that acts irrationally, in short a very crazy sane person. To summarize the performances are nice, nothing that forces you to say they are stunning.
And Now A Word From Our Sponsor is a film that could do much more with its argument: could be funny, had a deeper character, in other words could get much more out of its argument. For that reason Zerorojo doesn’t recommends it, is not a bad movie but leaves an unsatisfactory emptiness on the viewer.
